If you have an emissions control system leak of your catalytic converter or EGR valve, you can have any of these repairs performed simply by any certified and licensed automotive exhaust professional. If your PCV valve is broken or malfunctioning, any general automotive repair facility along with many oil change facilities can and will replace your PCV valve for you. If you have a broken or malfunctioning oxygen sensor, you will need to have your cars emissions control system leak caused by the failure of the oxygen sensor repaired by a facility that is licensed and certified by your cars manufacturer.
If you do not diagnose and repair any emissions control system leak on your car it can and normally will cause other parts and systems on your car to begin to malfunction and eventually fail on some level.
